  • Vehicles parked on Main Street after 2:00 a.m. will be towed
  • Sturgis has a no tolerance policy with regards to drugs and alcohol
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in public, and only allowed in establishments where alcohol is served
  • Urinating in public is forbidden
  • Public indecency/indecent exposure laws are strictly enforced

LOCAL MOTORCYCLE LAWS
  • NO Adult Helmet Law (helmets required for 18 and under)
  • Glasses required unless equipped with windscreen
  • Clear glasses required after sunset
  • Modulating headlights are permitted
  • Passenger seat/pegs are required if you carry a passenger
  • Right AND left mirror are required
  • Motorcycle passengers must be behind driver

 Several local charities rely on funds they raise during the Rally to help them do good works the rest of the year. The food is great and the people are friendly.

WEDDINGS
We make it easy for you if the "love bug" bites you while you are visiting us... To obtain a marriage license from the Register of Deeds both parties must be present; one form of ID is required from each person; $40.00 CASH (travelers checks are accepted); no waiting and same day marriages OK; license is good for 20 days; YOU MUST LOCATE YOUR OWN MINISTER OR JUSTICE OF THE PEACE - Clerk of Courts will not marry you.
